JASON FREDDI & SHAKESPEARE INK present A SHAKESPEAREAN HAMLET Featuring outstanding Melbourne Shakespearean actors as well as trainees from the Melbourne Shakespeare Society, this original conception of HAMLET by JASON FREDDI presents an authentic attempt to get to the heart of the play. Hamlet is a young man with a problem that is common in its nature, but peculiar to him. The society of Denmark tries to 'manage' this problem; applying insensitive systems and procedure. Murder and suicide result; women are blamed for the failings of men. Hamlet grows to maturity and learns how 'to be' beyond "to be or not to be". The contemporary relevance is made apparent.
